“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Often we ask children this question. Are we willing to release children to God for His purposes and then effectively raise them to fulfill His specific mission for their life? Maybe we should ask, “Oh, I wonder what exciting plans God has prepared for your life? When you grow up, will you do whatever God wants you to do?”

Missionary Hosting: This month we are enclosing a very special tip sheet on hosting missionaries. This was prepared by Rachel Coltharp, pastor’s wife and wife of the Illinois District Superintendent. This was sent to all of their district pastors and I received her permission to pass it along to our Missions Link readers. She did an excellent job and it will assist you! Thank you, Sister Coltharp, for reminding us once again how we can bless a missionary!

Our MKs want to be used by God in the country they serve along with their parents. It is encouraging to know that people pray for them and want to be their friend.

Prayer is the most essential element in Missions. A "Missions Prayer Team" will benefit our missionaries, the national works and your church!

We read about earthquakes, famines, floods, and other natural disasters. We pray...and we can also send assistance. Our disaster response teams around the world need your help to supply necessary items such as Band‐Aids, Aspirin, Hydrogen Peroxide., etc. Involve your Sunday school class in missions giving through the purchase of basic medical supplies!

While much has been said or written on the subject, the best place to look for sound teaching on generosity is the Bible. Both Old and New Testaments each generosity as a way of life for God’s redeemed people—not as a rote duty but as a joyful response to God’s saving race.

Next to prayer, it's one of the simplest ways to honor God. Whether you're putting yourself "in" through your dollars and cents or setting aside the time to be present to serve, you're glorifying God. And you get to choose the how, the where, the when.

You faithfully pray for our missionaries and their field of labor. Have you considered praying for the parents of our missionaries, or POMs?

A thought from one of our CMDs, Susan Payzant: “Each day when I pray I love to spend at least a portion of the time praying the Word of God. Praying the Word is such a powerful tool in reaching our world and seeing the will of God accomplished. II Timothy 2:9 ‘...the Word of God is not bound.’ The Word of God is not bound, but God is bound by His Word. Let’s pray the Word of God for the nations of the world to see the revival and harvest that is God’s will to give.”
